I used to teach at Leith's School of Food and Wine in London. I was Head Teacher there for many years and now I am teaching cooking lessons at some fabulous venues, The super new Cookhouse at the Suffolk Food Hall has a wonderful cookery area, a bespoke cookery room with spacious tables, each with a halogen stove, a bank of wonderful ovens and curved demonstration bench. All this with a fabulous outlook to the Orwell Bridge and the river. We dine upstairs in the restaurant and relax at lunchtime enjoying the splendid view.
Cookery Days at The Cookhouse begin at 9.30am with welcoming coffee and finish around 4.00pm. The cost is £130 which is inclusive of all refreshments throughout the day, lunch with wine, all cooking ingredients and a folder brimful of delicious recipes and tips, as well as a selection of mouth-watering food to take home.
There are classes each month with different themes and recipes; you are sure to find the perfect day for you or to give as a gift for the cook in your life. I also host cookery days at the historic Helmingham Hall, Family home of Lord and Lady Tollemache. Have a look at the cooking courses and do join us for some culinary adventures. The cookery days are a little different to my other classes and have been described as ‘Downton Abbey meets Ready Steady Cook’. Be assured, they are great fun as well being very informative and useful to anyone interested in cooking and food. More courses are being planned to cope with demand. I can give you some ideas, design special menus and a personal friendly service. I have many satisfied clients and my reputation as an excellent chef is everything to me. I live and work in Ipswich and I am happy to travel throughout Suffolk. I am an individual who caters rather than a big company, but I can arrange hire and find staff to help at your event. For a personal, unique, high standard and local service, you need go no further.
I can also plan private cooking lessons, which can be at your home. You and your friends can have a bespoke culinary adventure. A thoroughly enjoyable day to remember, you can cook for a grand lunch or for an evening dinner party where you can invite other guests to taste the results of your labours.
